Nicole Richie looked show-stopping on Monday evening as she posed in front of the cameras at the Met Gala wearing a frosted white beehive to match her embellished, bespoke ballgown by Topshop.

The socialite and mother-of-two wasn’t the only star to saunter up red carpet in a custom-made Topshop number either. The British retailer dressed five stars at the black tie event including model and face of the brand, Jourdan Dunn who wore a beaded mini dress featuring a leather embellished waistband and sheer maxi skirt overlay.

In fact, Topshop seemed to be the label of choice at the event, dressing more stars than any other designer that night. Actress Jaime King opted for a flattering black silk tuxedo suit and Chantilly lace blouse while Julianne Hough stepped out in a princess-cut tulle dress with a light grey spider-web pattern.

Topshop heiress Chloe Green also sported a dazzling black LBD from the brand to the event as did Revenge star Ashley Madekwe who wore a column maxi dress with a detailed sequined shell design.

Now, the Topshop Met Ball dresses are set to hit the UK high street as part of the brand’s Limited Edition line. The custom-made gowns with be made available for purchase – with prices ranging from £300 to £500 – at the Oxford Circus flagship in London, as well as in the New York and LA stores, and online at topshop.com.

So if you’re a fan of Nicole Richie’s diamante-encrusted number or Jaime King’s fitted suit, these designs could make it into your wardrobe just in time for the Christmas party season to begin.

Lasse Hallström has had a long and storied career as a director, putting together films as well thought-of critically as What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and The Cider House Rules. In recent years, he’s directed titles like Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and this year’s Safe Haven. It is the latter movie the exclusive Blu-ray bonus clip above discusses, with actors Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel talking about working with Hallström and the improvisational processes the director prefers to use in order to keep things real.

Safe Haven is based on a Nicholas Sparks novel and follows a young romance under unusual circumstances. After Katie (Hough) shows up in a brand new town, she finds solace in a new community and a young dad named Alex (Duhamel), but she’s certainly hiding something. The film wasn’t released worldwide, but still managed to make a fair amount of money for a Valentine’s Day release, pulling in over $71 million domestically. If you already are down with the film or just want to give it a shot, the Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment release will be hitting Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, May 7.

Unlike other films based on Sparks’ popular fiction, the Safe Haven Blu-ray release won’t come jam-packed with a ton of extras, although there are some nice bonus features, including deleted scenes and an alternate ending for fans. You can pre-order tomorrow’s release over at Amazon or check out the full list of bonus features.

She’s pretty fearless when it comes to her hair, having recently gone shorter and lighter, but this is by far the most daring do Julianne Hough has ever sported.

In celebration of the Met Gala’s punk theme, the actress opted for an updo that complements the spiderweb-like pattern on her Topshop dress.

“It’s literally like we created a fishnet over the back of her head,” says co-owner of Nine Zero One Salon

Riawna Capri, who jokes that she used “like a hundred” black bobby pins. (Check out this cute behind-the-scenes photo!)

To get the look, which was inspired by something similar Capri spotted on a Zac Posen runway, she prepped Hough’s hair with Vidal Sassoon Pro Series Boost & Lift Foaming Air Mousse for volume in the front and a heat protectant to add shine. After blow-drying she applied Vidal Sassoon Mega Firm Hold Gel before creating three mini ponytails on either side of Hough’s head so the hair would stay taut against her head.

“Basically after that we just pinned and pulled and crossed over throughout until we created the fishnet looking thing.”

Capri used a roller to add lift to Hough’s bangs and after much deliberation, they decided to put her fringe up. She then misted the do with two different Vidal Sassoon hairsprays (“once we decided we loved it, we locked it in with a strong hold formula.”)

We doubt Hough ever went through an actual punk phase, but it appears that she enjoyed her one night as a beauty rebel.

Ginnifer Goodwin and Julianne Hough are baseball gals!

The young Hollywood stars proved they were devoted Dodger fans on Wednesday when they threw the night’s opening pitches.

Unfortunately, the Los Angeles team lost the game, but their celeb cheerleaders sported some winning looks. Posing with center fielder Matt Kemp, the actresses were decked out in matching Dodgers tees over darkwash jeans.

The pretty pair weren’t the only ones to show the major-leaguers some major support this week.

On Tuesday, viral sensation PSY and Parks & Rec actor Adam Scott both hailed the blue & white to cheer on their home team against the Denver Rockies.

While Psy exchanged gifts with Dodger’s pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu, Scott was honored with the opportunity to dish out the first ceremonial pitch.

Pressure’s on to see which famous face they nab next!

In my next film, Diablo Cody’s Paradise, I play a burn survivor named Lamb. I did a lot research for this role and found myself truly inspired by the people I met and read about.

There is this one woman named Stephanie Nielsen with a blog, NieNie Dialogues, who was in a plane accident with her husband and burned badly in the accident. She said the hardest part of it was that her children, she has four, were scared of her because she didn’t look like herself anymore. It was just amazing what she went through.

I also went to a burn clinic in California, the West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, and spoke with some teenage burn survivors in a group therapy session. One kid was burned running out of his house that was on fire and he was on fire, but he saved his little sister in doing so.

And, I was also inspired by J.R. Martinez, who won Season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars.” He was in the Iraq War and has done so much since then, really proving that life can go on after such a tragedy strikes you.

Their stories of survival were amazing and it really helped me understand where my character is coming from and the emotional journey she had to go through.

I’ll let you know when the movie it out. It’ll be later this year, for sure!

XO,

Julianne
